Although I added 4 pts ABOVE my regular maintenace points for this week, it still didn't stop my weight loss. I'm down 3.8 lbs this week and I'm not happy about it. I am now 137 lbs. Now I need to work on gaining weight to get back into the healthy range for my height :O(

Weight Watchers responded to the petition and my letter today, here is their response...

Hello Shaunna –

Once again, I’m extremely sorry about these circumstances. Please know that your ineligibility has absolutely nothing whatsoever to do with your appearance or your tattoos, and it pains me that you would even think that. This is most assuredly not the first time we’ve had to reject a candidate because of rapid weight loss. Anyone who loses more than 2 pounds a week on average is simply not eligible to be a success story. Candidates have averaged 2.1 pounds a week, and still been rejected. Unfortunately, this is a requirement that we must abide by. Time after time, our science and nutrition team has told us that there is no wiggle room here.

I’m glad you think the blog-article is a great idea. I think it will be lots of fun. We want to share your story, and this is a way for us to be able to do it. It’s also a way for you to be in your element and use your unique voice.

Please let me know if you are officially interested, and we’ll put together some guidelines.

Best,

Jamie

What blog article? Why won't you be doing it? It still blows my mind that they're so sticky about 0.3lbs, but whatever, f* 'em. You're a success story to us all.

How are you adding points and still shrinking?!! How does THAT work? Too much exercise maybe? I don't know! As long as you're eating healthy, and being active and doing everything you're supposed to, what can you do?

Yah, I dunno Cat it's pretty warped to have to try to GAIN weight now. That has never, ever happened to me in my life! The only thing I can think of is that my metabolism is just revin' so high because I am very active. I will be going to the doctor tomorrow or the next day just to make sure I don't have any health problems :O)

Hi Shaunna, I just stumbled onto your blog and I just have to say - WOW. You are stunningly beautiful and I am amazed at your incredible weightloss.

Your body art is smoking hot and if WW can't take the heat too bad for them. You have inspired me to get counting points RIGHT NOW. You are a star.

i have an issue with "...use your unique voice," followed by "...and we'll put together some guidelines."

uh, sorry - in effect they're taking away your unique voice, the meat of your story and the whole point of this process.

Jamie is a great guy and all, but this is bullshit.

You are a success story no matter what a bunch of formulas say.

If WW would use stories like your more often, I might be compelled to actually use their program! You should start your own 'zine called WW Successful Rejects!

You look awesome!

I'm so sorry to hear that WW is not considering you as a success story! That is garbage. If you are not considered a success, well hell... something is wrong with their thinking.

As for having to gain weight. That must be so surreal for you. I know it would be for me!

You look absolutely amazing!! Wow!

It is greatly disappointing that WW won't use you as a success story... sadly, I know of one or two people who used the WW's program in conjunction with bulimia and/or anorexia to rapidly drop 100+ pounds. Issues such as theirs then puts a "blur" on true success stories like yours.

But by all means, don't let them discourage you! Keep on telling your story! You have inspired me more than words can express and I know there are many others out there like me :)

I stumbled onto your blog via another blog :-) You are amazing and look awesome! I was in desperate need for motivation....until I read your blog. One quick question, are you doing mainly cardio or a combination of cardio/strength training?

By the way...I think WW should run this to prove that loosing more than 100 lbs. can be done without surgery.

THANKS Cori :O)))

I do 30-60 mins of high intensity cardio 5-6 days of the week, and I do 20 or so minutes of strength training 3 times a week. I do a wee little bit of Pilates or Yoga here and there. I am constantly changing the types of activity I do so I don't get bored. I run, bike, swim, stairclimber, elliptical, rollerblade etc.

Shaunna, Shaunna, what am I going to do with you? Don't make me come down there and cook for you for a week or so...you'd gain more than a few lbs!!!

Just joking......just stay healthy....that's all I really care about.

Love you
Mom
