WI this week = up 1 lb...no biggie :O)

I had to go to the doctor today for a physical because I've been having some troubles with spotting, cramps, sore back, messed up TOM. While doing the pelvic exam she right away said "There's something in your uterus, it feels really large". So I have to go for an ultrasound Sept 29th. She thinks it's probably a tumor (fibroid). I will update when it comes time. She suggested it could be from losing so much weight, but I haven't found anything like that online yet in my research.

Oh my - that must be a little scary! I'm sure it'll be fine seeing as the doc is so convinced it's nothing to worry about. Who would have thought that weight loss would cause something like that. Interesting...

Hang in there. *hugs*

Wow Shaunna.... I'm sure everything will turn out fine, but I'll be thinking of you and sending you healthy vibes!

I cant imagine you could lose weight and gain a fibroid?! Doubt it :)

What? She throws you weight loss out as a reason because she can't think of something else? Odd.

Good luck. I know it sucks waiting for tests like that! I'm sure it's all good!!

hi Shaunna,

I have never heard of losing wt causing a fibroid. I work in the medical field. That sucks...you have a month to wait for the ultra sound.... Take it easy. I'll send some healthy vibes your way on the 29th....

We'll be thinking of you, hope it's no biggie. It's probably a good thing you got in there when you did!

(Be careful with Dr. Google too. He's been known to scare me silly!)

sorry just a little rant here.. aren't you just sick of hearing how everything health wise is related to your weight? drives me nuts, your heavy and have a cold its becuase your heavy, your healthy and have a fibroid its because you lost weight.. sheesh can't you have one without the other, just sometimes?...just saying doctors need to wake up and pay more attention especially to their female patients, we don't all whine for no valid reason, LISTEN TO US already...
