I'm still here :O)
Not much going on really. Still waiting to get in for surgery, but I've started running again. I went in and had a big talk with my doctor. I told her that if I didn't get back to running, I would need to go on antidepressants for my panic disorder. It's getting pretty bad. She agreed that I could run but not to overdo it, and I had to promise her that I'd do blood tests every 1-2 months to check on my anemia.
Here's a pic of my cute Yorkie girls.

My chiropractor grew up in Canada and we were discussing the differences in health care between the US and Canada. She told me about how long it takes to have a procedure scheduled and done in Canada and it just about blew me away. If you still follow my blog, you know I've had my fair share of hormonal problems and had to have a surgery to try to stop my abnormal bleeding. Honest to God, it was not "emergent" in the sense of the word, but from the day the doc said she wanted me to have the procedure I think it was only a matter of 2-3 weeks til it was completed. I don't fully understand your system, but I really got to wonder how many people die or worsen just waiting for treatment.
I wish the best for you. HOpefully it won't be too much longer. Your "girls" are too cute. And, if it makes you feel any better, years ago, did you ever think you'd be telling a doc you need to get better because you need to go RUNNING? Don't lose sight of your accomplishments along the way.
PS. I miss your cake pictures. :)
they are adorable
Shauna! you are an inspration ! you are gonna rock this out
Good luck getting in with the surgery. I had an issue that needed a small procedure done and they insisted it was not urgent but needed to be done "soon" - they got me an appointment in 6 weeks. Sometimes our medical system is a mess. Maybe most times...
